Location: Warsaw, hybrid work (3 days per week in the office)

At AstraZeneca we are guided in our work by a strong set of values, and we’re resetting expectations of what a bio-pharmaceutical company can be. By truly following the science, we pioneer new methods, new thinking and bring unexpected teams together. From scientists to sales, lab techs to legal, we’re on a mission to turn ideas into life-changing medicines that transform lives. We need great people who share our passion for science and have the drive and determination to meet the unmet needs of patients around the world. If you’re swift to action, confident to lead, willing to collaborate, and curious about what science can do, then you’re our kind of person.

As part of the continued development of our HR team in Warsaw, we are opening a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) role to support AstraZeneca’s global teams based in Poland. This position replaces a colleague who has retired.

In this role, you will provide comprehensive HR Business Partnering, reporting to the HR Director for Poland. You will be responsible for implementing the company’s Human Resources strategy. You will collaborate closely with both local and global leaders, including senior leaders, and work in partnership with the Global HRBP. While your core focus will be business partnering across diverse stakeholders within the One Poland HUB, you will also have numerous opportunities to contribute to initiatives and to participate in a wide range of projects.

In this role you will:

  • Provide strategic HR partnering across global and local matrices, advising and influencing leaders to achieve outcomes
  • Design and deliver data-informed, cross-functional solutions, aligning with the people strategy for the area
  • Champion AI-enabled HR and encourage adoption of modern tools across HR and the business
  • Build trusted advisor relationships; coach and support managers to improve performance, capabilities, and culture while managing risks
  • Work closely with Global HRBPs and the local HR team to coordinate and align solutions
  • Lead and contribute to diverse projects across functions
  • Implement core HR processes and policies (e.g., performance, talent), ensuring consistent application across defined areas

You will ideally already have:

  • Senior HRBP experience in complex corporate matrices, with strong stakeholder management and the ability to influence senior leaders
  • Change leadership mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, collaborative, and able to co-lead HR transformation and initiative
  • Strategic problem solving with strong data literacy; ability to turn insights into pragmatic actions and measurable outcomes
  • Modern HR tech and AI: adoption and deployment experience, paired with curiosity and learning agility to keep pace with change.
  • Matrix prioritization skills, managing competing demands across global/local stakeholders
  • Language: Excellent communication skills in Polish and English
  • Sector: Experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector is an advantage

At AstraZeneca, we're proud to have a unique workplace culture that inspires innovation and collaboration. Here, employees are empowered to express diverse perspectives - and are made to feel valued, energized and rewarded for their ideas and creativity. We offer an attractive salary, a comprehensive employee benefits package and many opportunities to grow and develop with.
